Alexandria approaches every wedding cake from an artist’s eye — she studied fine art before culinary school, and that perspective shapes every decision she makes. The proportions, the palette, the placement of every single flower.
She’s also a perfectionist about taste. “I wanted to make cakes that made people actually excited to eat wedding cake.” The flavours are as considered as the design — because what your guests remember is both.

The Tasting
Every booking includes a private tasting — a selection of flavours curated to your preferences and delivered in a beautiful tasting box. Because choosing your cake flavour should be as enjoyable as choosing your flowers.

The Flowers
Alexandria’s signature. Every sugar flower is handcrafted — petal by petal, dusted with edible pigment, wired and arranged to mimic the real thing. No silk. No plastic. No shortcuts. Just craft, patience, and an art-school eye for detail.

The Delivery
Your cake is delivered and set up on the day by Alexandria’s team. Serving guides, timing recommendations, and setup coordination with your venue are all included. You don’t lift a finger.
About the Investment
Finespun wedding cakes are a bespoke luxury commission — the price reflects the time, craft, and artistry involved. Every cake is fully custom, priced based on size, complexity, and the number of sugar flowers required. Consultations are complimentary. We’re happy to work within a range once we know what you’re dreaming of.

Where are you located and do you travel?
Alexandria’s studio is based in Toronto, Ontario. We serve the greater Toronto area and GTA. Travel outside the GTA is available for an additional travel fee — reach out and we’ll let you know what’s possible for your venue.
How far in advance should we book?
Alexandria takes a limited number of wedding commissions each year to ensure every cake receives the time and care it deserves. We recommend reaching out at least 6–12 months before your date — popular dates fill quickly.
What does a Finespun wedding cake cost?
Pricing depends on the size, number of tiers, and complexity of the sugar flower work. Cakes typically start from $800 and scale upward based on design. We’ll provide a personalised quote after your consultation — there’s no obligation.
Do you offer cake tastings?
Yes — every booking includes a tasting. You’ll receive a beautiful tasting box with a curated selection of flavours so you can choose what feels most “you.” It’s one of our favourite parts of the process.
Can you match our wedding florals?
Absolutely. Alexandria works closely with your florist (or from reference photos) to match the palette, flower species, and overall aesthetic of your wedding flowers. The sugar flowers can mirror your real bouquet almost exactly.
What flavours do you offer?
We offer a rotating selection of signature flavours — from classic vanilla bean and lemon to more adventurous options like brown butter caramel and earl grey. Every flavour is made from scratch with quality ingredients. Your tasting box will include our current offerings.
Do you offer delivery and setup?
Yes, always. We never ask couples to transport their own cakes. Your cake will be delivered and set up on your wedding day by Alexandria’s team, coordinated directly with your venue.
Can we do something totally custom and unique?
That’s the whole point. Every Finespun cake is a one-of-a-kind original — never repeated, never templated. If you have a vision that feels unusual or unconventional, bring it to us. We love a challenge.
